VRSTY (VAR•SI•TY) a five-piece R&B / Post-Hardcore infused band from NYC released their new EP BLCK on March 15th.

If there's one word to describe BLCK, it's definitely “passion.” The opening track ‘Colorblind’ takes listeners on an emotional and relatable ride. What might start off as a melodic intro, quickly transforms into a breakdown? The layering of instruments throughout the EP captivate the listener and pulls them into another world. With each transition into the next song, listeners embark on a journey only to be unsure of what’s lurking around the next corner. Whatever it may be, you're happy it's there.

Through a whirlwind of R&B Beats and Post-Hardcore breakdowns, Joey Varela's voice is the icing on top. Each instrument is beautifully layered among the others and it shows how much blood sweat and tears they put into this. They have continued to push the boundaries by mixing genres and incorporating real-life experiences into their lyrics. ‘Nola’ and ‘Impressionable Me’ are great examples of this, due to it's relatable and emotional lyrics. From heartbreak to self-doubt, VRSTY makes it clear that they strive to build a connection with their listeners and want to ensure them they're not in this alone.

VRSTY has also launched a music video for ‘Nola’ today and is currently on “The Colorblind Tour” with Levels and Glass Hands until March 23.
