The time has come to get yourself up and ready for this year’s annual Sophomore Slump Festival! SSF kicks off Friday, September 6th and is a two-day fest this year, happening over at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, NC. This is a show you won’t want to miss, with the headlining acts announced being Grayscale and Chamber for each day. The fest is also featuring bands such as Belmont, Vatican, Scowl Brow, Bearings, Keep Flying, and more!

Sam Patt from Belmont is so excited to be a part of this show, saying “It’s awesome to have watched this fest grow from the ground up, and we’re excited to be a part of the family along with a ton of great bands.” This two-day festival began in 2016 and has just grown tremendously each year. Prior years of this alternative festival have only been one year, so moving up to two days expands the audience even more. “This one’s for North Carolina! Come on and raise up. Take your shirt off, twist it ‘round your hand, spin it like a helicopter. North Carolina! Come on and raise up. This one’s for you!” John Ryan from Keep Flying talks about the energy of this fest.

The first day of Sophomore Slump Fest line up is set as Grayscale, Belmont, Scowl Brow, Bearings, Rich People, Nominee, Unturned, bloom., Rarity, I the Victor, Propersleep, Young Culture, Boys of Fall, City Mouth, Paperback, Harm, and World War Me. The second day line up goes with Chamber, Vatican, Shame Spiral, Avoid, Keep Flying, Dissent, Green Fiend, VLVD, Insvergence, Never I, The Worst of Us, Fever War, Circle Back, Deadland, Paid in Full, S’efforcer, and Fever Strike.

“Prep for the festival begins around August of the prior year, so to see this lineup finally released is an incredible moment for me and my partner, Ric Peterson. We have a lot of incredible things planned for this year’s event. With presence from Pabst Brewing Co. And Monster Energy, it’s going to be a wild event!” Liz Mercer, Sophomore Slump Fest Co-owner and Founder says. Weekend passes for this event are $55, and you can get them here. Each daily pass is $30 and you can get to them from the Facebook event page. This won’t be one to miss.
