Saving Vice Release New Single "Endgame," Call to Marvel's Infinity Saga
New England metalcore band Saving Vice released their new single “Endgame” earlier today, paying homage to Marvel’s blockbuster Infinity Saga. The video for the song, premiered on Dreambound, features dark individual shots of the members and a dramatic chess match, colored black and red with an old film grain overlay.
“‘Endgame’ has a lot of context and double meaning to it,” said vocalist Tyler Small. “It was inspired by the Infinity Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and touches on the subject of convictions — how far you're willing to go for your goals as well as the different perspectives from the whole conflict while serving as a memorial so to speak for Iron Man.”
“This was one of the first tracks I wrote for the new album,” said guitarist Robbie Litchfield. “That recurring piano melody you hear throughout the song is something that came to me in a dream one night. I knew right away that this was meant to be the lead single off our new record..”
The lyrics to the song include many references to the Infinity Saga, such as:
“We’re in the endgame now.”
“A soul for a soul, the only thing that you loved.”
“I think you’ll find our will is equal to yours.”
“I don’t wanna go.”
“You call this mercy. Well, I call you insane.”
This marks the first new music release from the band since their debut EP “Colder Than Dark” in May of 2018. They will be embarking on a northeastern tour with Las Vegas band Sigil early this August, ending with iMatter Festival 2019. You can find dates for this tour here
