Gannon Release Video For New Single "One Last Time" (Watch)
Massachusetts metalcore outfit Gannon released the music video for their new single “One Last Time” featuring Wes Horton of The Worst Of Us. “One Last Time” marks the first single off of the upcoming EP 2 , which is set to release on September 20.
The video for “One Last Time” sports flashy purple and turquoise lights panning back and forth between individual performance shots of the band members. Horton explained the meaning behind the lyrics, saying, “You ever have a friend that just sucks ass? You make excuses for them and you think they’re going to change, and they never do.? That’s what the song’s about”
“I wrote this song when I was going through a writer’s block,” added Dave Gannon, guitarist and founder of the band. “My workaround was to listen to a non-metal song (in this case it was a Motown song called ‘Its The Same Old Song’ by Four Tops) and write heavy metal song over it; then send whatever I wrote to a singer (without providing any context of where I got the influence from) to see what they’d write on their end. The end result is typically something way different than the reference song. I’m stoked about what Wes did with this one!”
EP 2 has five songs, each featuring a different vocalist from the New England metal/hardcore scene. See the official track listing below:
1. One Last Time ft. Wes Horton III (The Worst of Us)
2. Made to Rust ft. Alex Cohen (Fathom Farewell)
