Marilyn Manson to Play Death Metal Singer in TV Series 'American Gods'

It has been announced that musical artist Marilyn Manson has been cast in ‘American Gods’, a TV show based on a novel written by Neil Gaiman, featured on Starz. 

Manson will appear in season 3 of the series, playing a musician in a Viking death metal band called Blood Death. Fitting. His character, Johan Wengren, is the lead singer of the band. Also fitting. 

Deadline provided these words from showrunner Chic Eglee regarding the new addition to the cast/ “As a long-time admirer of his estimable talent as an author, artist, musician and actor, it is dope indeed to be working with Mr. Manson in Season 3 of American Gods”. 

This isn’t his first time acting in films and on TV, however. Manson previously has made appearances in Sons Of Anarchy, Once Upon A Time, Salem, and several other shows and movies. Check out the full list via IMDB here. 

Manson is scheduled to appear in four episodes, with season 3 making its debut sometime next year.
