Swiftly moving closer to the hooded figure, the camera spirals in on the jagged smile etched into the jack-o’-lantern-inspired mask as the trod of horse’s hooves and the haunting melody of ‘Undead Ahead 2: The Tale of the Midnight Ride’ usher in the beginning of Motionless In White’s official live video.

Bright flashes of synchronized lights sweep across the stage and audience, illuminating the footage compiled together from various performances on The Trick ‘r Treat Tour with deep reds, greens, and purples. The intricately carved jack-o’-lanterns spread across the stage and the appearances of Sam from Trick ‘r Treat and other monstrous characters channel the spirit of October and the iconic tale of the Headless Horseman.

While the band released an animated official visual for the song in May, Motionless In White treats fans to the energetic and passionate performances experienced at live shows with its new video. The camera moves with the band members as they command the stage and their craft. It also highlights the audience’s role in the performance with cuts to shots gliding over the crowd, since concerts could not happen without the support and energy of fans.

One of the video’s greatest shots sees lead singer Chris Motionless crouched down as the camera circles him, amplifying the anticipation and excitement before he exclaims, “This place is haunted!” The cinematography, along with the artful editing, creates a well-crafted music video and conjures the dynamism of the song, the band, and the live performances.
