Coming off the heels of their 20th anniversary tour, metalcore band Atreyu are expanding their sound with the release of a new collaboration with DJ/producer Kayzo, entitled “Battle Drums”. The band announced the project on social media just two days ago, calling it “Atreyu in a new realm of heavy.”

“Battle Drums” combines breakdowns and heavy bass beats with Atreyu’s signature sing-along choruses. Vocalist Alex Varkatzas poses the question “So this is it, will you take a stand?” in the song’s opening, making it a motivational anthem for metal and dance music enthusiasts alike.

While his roots are in the EDM world, Kayzo is no stranger to metalcore. His last album Unleashed included collaborations with bands like Our Last Night, blessthefall, and Of Mice & Men. Kayzo also dropped a memorable remix of Papa Roach’s “Last Resort” back in 2018. 

Atreyu will be embarking on short Australian Tour in February of 2020. Check out “Battle Drums” below!
