August Burns Red Announce New Album 'Guardians' With New Single "Defender"

August Burns Red prove they’re one of the most consistent metalcore bands in the scene by announcing their new album Guardians will be available April 3rd, 2020 through Fearless Records. Along with the album announcement came the release of their new single “Defender”.

This announcement comes fresh off several teasers the band have been posting over the past week. Most recently, a teaser depicting a black silhouetted figure running through what looks to be a city cloaked in purple, yellow, and black was released. With the victimized shadowy figure running ahead, a dinosaur is trailing behind around the corner of the building looming over the silhouetted figure, preparing for what looks to be a chase. When analyzed by Shazam, the song name “Defender” was revealed, along with the now-confirmed album name.

One thing is for certain, "Defender" is a combination of pure lyrical heaviness and technical instrumental prowess at its finest. If this is any confirmation about how amazing this record is going to be, we are all in for an excitingly beastly, yet melodically satisfying delight for our ears.
