Florida native band Mayday Parade has finally returned with a brand new single “It Is What It Is”. Keeping in strides with emotionally hard-hitting lyrical content, while instrumentally possessing vignettes of sounds from their 2011 self-titled release, it’s a track that operates well with bringing back nostalgia but also delivers a sparkling new lyrical experience. This is the band’s first release since their full-length album Sunnyland back in 2018 via Rise Records.

While the band has already culminated a total of six albums to their name, Mayday Parade is definitely out to prove that even after almost a decade of amazing music, they still got it. If “It Is What It Is” has anything to take from this, it’s that the band has the energy to deliver another era of sonically delicious masterpieces to us in the near future.

Mayday Parade will also be going on their ‘It Is What It Is Tour’ this spring, with Grayscale and Point North as supporting acts. While no date has been confirmed for a potential album release, we will at least have this to have on repeat.
