Fans of former Tom DeLonge side project Box Car Racer have fueled the rumor mill surrounding the possibility of a reunion of the band. Recently Tom has posted an image of the bands logo, throwing up the horns in an emoji and left it at that.

Past speculation, dating back to 2017, had Anthony Green jumping to respond to a fan's comment saying the Saosin/Circa Survive front-man should take part. He's all for the idea then and even today, he echos the same answer as before.

Box Car Racer haven't had a release since 2002, which debuted at number 12 on the U.S. Billboard charts. While a long time has passed since then, the record’s presence is still felt to this day, as rumors of a reunion have always encircled the band since their break up in 2003.

The band started off as a side project, consisting of Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker, David Kennedy, with Anthony Celestino joining the band on tour as bassist. The band's existence has been said to have caused tensions between Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus, who felt excluded despite having a vocal feature on "Elevators”.
