Texas-based independent hard rock group Burning Windows have released their second single “Subdermal”. Following up their debut single “Tramp”, Burning Windows are bringing back a late 90’s metal / early 2000’s nu-metal sound, reminiscent of acts such as Korn, Linkin Park, and Breaking Benjamin.

Burning Windows is composed of Tony Robles (guitar), Daniel Fisher (bass), Mitch White (vocals), and James Carlisle (drums). Formed just last year in 2019, the band has a clear vision of their sound and where they want to be in this scene.

Putting a bouncy, bass-heavy riff at the forefront of this track, the Korn influence is immediately apparent on “Subdermal”. Burning Windows brings an eerie presence to the verses, while letting the classic hard rock speak for itself on the chorus of this track.

“Something subdermal is crawling inside me / I don’t know who you are (let’s tear it out).” Lyrically, the band addresses the concept of fear and its ability to consume a person. The overarching message being, we are not alone in this situation and to not let fear get the best of society.

With just two singles under their belt, Burning Windows have much more on the docket in terms of upcoming music. With the tentative plan to release a new single every month, listeners can expect their third single “Diminished” to be available April 29th.
