Michigan natives A Faithful Betrayal have released their newest single “Dances With Wolves”, along with announcing their debut 6-track release Everstone will be available everywhere on June 6th, 2020. These independent post-hardcore newcomers are taking influence from the likes of Underoath, Northlane, and other scene staples, adding a great deal of anticipation to the release of Everstone.

Everstone conveys an overarching message of growth, love, and acceptance. “If you’re too busy holding onto something that prevents you from moving on, that’s your Everstone,.” The band continues, “As much we want to hold onto certain aspects of our life, they are often what prevents us from developing into something greater. This record is about learning when and how to let go.”

“Dances With Wolves” embraces A Faithful Betrayals message completely. “Sooner or later, people are going to realize what’s really unfolding in front of them,” says the band. “‘Dances With Wolves’ is a track that a vast majority of listeners can relate to, due to the magnitude of global events our generation has witnessed in our lifetime.”

This message is exemplified in its lyrical content, such as:

“Another headline to shift our focus

Fooled the masses to raise their torches

Morals beyond lost like children in the dark

Thoughts and prayers we should have gave from the start

While the punishing sound of well-tuned post-hardcore perfectly encapsulates the emotion behind the words. Powerful screams and chugging riffs lie at the heart of this instrumental journey, sure to get any fan of heavy music nodding their head along to this equally as powerful message.

You can find the lyric video for “Dance With Wolves” below, as well as find it on our official Spotify playlist now! Be sure to check out the full release of Everstone on June 6th.
