Broadside has released the second single from their upcoming third studio album Into The Raging Sea, which will be out on July 17th via Sharptone Records. Their single and near-title track “The Raging Sea” explores topics where vocalist Ollie Baxter speaks about the “pressure of accepting your own reality”.

In an interview with Flood Magazine, Baxter spoke out on what inspired the new album. He says:

“I allowed myself to unwind into a spiraling fear of rejection because I felt the pressure of someone else’s paycheck. In all my years of gripping at my dreams, I had allowed myself to become a small chunk of change for someone else. Someone who did not care what happened to me in the end. I don’t recommend drowning to anyone, but while I was down there I learned something about myself. I learned that carrying around all that extra weight was only dooming me to one outcome. So I let it go.”

Pre orders for the album will be available on iTunes and Spotify tomorrow, May 22nd. Merch bundles will be available on their website. Watch the video for “The Raging Sea” below and let us know what you think of the track in the comments!
