Bring Me The Horizon Drop Long-Awaited Single ‘Parasite Eve’

Bring Me The Horizon are back with their first new song of 2020, as the band premiered “Parasite Eve” today. Fans have been anticipating the single for quite some time as the band is documenting their recent recording sessions and frontman Oliver Sykes even modeled a sweatshirt displaying the song’s title. 

“Parasite Eve” is an epic, ominous song warning of war, death and disease. No doubt the song’s grim imagery and themes are tapping into a lot of people’s fears right now. It’s a decidedly heavier direction than amo and their last EP Music to listen to….

The single was scheduled to drop earlier this month, with June 10th being the original release date, but the band opted to postpone the song in light of Black Lives Matter protests. Sykes said on Instagram, “with the incredible movement that is taking place currently we don’t feel comfortable releasing & promoting anything that takes the focus off what’s important right now.”

The band seems confident in the material they’ve been working on - Sykes said Bring Me The Horizon plans to release four records in a year, all under the title Post Human.
