Long-island metalcore outfit Call It Home have officially released their new single “Danse Macabre”, an energetic fury of straight-forward metalcore and a clean chorus sure to get stuck in your head. Accompanied by an intense visualizer, depicting destruction and chaos throughout, it perfectly compliments the dark nature of the lyrical content.

“Danse Macabre” touches on the corruption of the current state of the world,” says vocalist Dom Delfino. “How our “leaders“ value money more than human lives. The population falls victim to war, poverty and greed daily, most of which goes unnoticed or just becomes a scary normalcy that no one questions.”

Given the current state of affairs in North America, and around the world for that matter, “Danse Macabre” directly reflects how Call It Home views our society. Not only is this track a reflection of what we’re all dealing with, but it is a call-to-action of sorts, asking listeners to question if this is how we really want to live? Delfino continues, “We live in a “united” country but in reality, we’ve never been more divided and we need to ask ourselves, are we really even living or simply just existing? How long will we remain asleep in this nightmare? Now, more than ever is the time to wake up and stand up for what you truly believe in.”

Putting the pedal-to-the-metal if you will, Call It Home are following in the footsteps of recent releases from Alpha Wolf and Make Them Suffer, with their blend of bouncy, riff-heavy metalcore, and multiple breakdown sections to get those fists swinging. With the amount of energy this band delivers, this track is one that we all need to hear live - hopefully sooner than later.
