Joshua Woodard, bassist of Florida native band A Day to Remember has released a statement in response to the recent allegations that came to light of sexual assault and misconduct in late June / early July. Adult film actress Kaiia Eve came forward, recounting the events of inappropriate conduct that took place with Woodard when she was 16 years old; however, the original tweet has now been deleted.

This is the first time Woodard has publicly responded to the allegations since they first arose. In the Twitter statement, Woodard has claimed that “allegations made towards him are false," also stating that he felt it was inappropriate "to debate this situation on social media." He went on to say that "addressing this is my personal responsibility" and that he has chosen to defend himself through the proper legal channels.
