Yesterday Chicago band Belmont announced on social media the departure of Sam Patt, guitarist of Belmont, for sexual misconduct. Twitter user Ashely aka @Aggretsuko recounted the events on Twitter August 16th, amounting to a gravid amount of social media attention.

Belmont "was not formerly made aware of the accusations made against Sam" and has agreed to part ways with the guitarist. The band has also "made an agreement with Sam that he would improve his behavior" and "wanted to give him a chance to make amends with his accuser privately".
