Pop-punk luminaries Makeout have re-branded themselves and are taking the world by storm with their new single and music video, "Home." "Home" originally debuted with a lyric video two months ago as a first taste of the new and improved Makeout. Continuing on the hype of the new era and face they have put out, Makeout have released an official music video for "Home."

How does one even produce a music video during a pandemic?

According to the band's new vocalist, Kyle Dee, in conversation with The Noise, "It was not a typical scenario. There were only a few of us allowed on set and everyone had to have masks on, but it really came together when we decided to use an old 8mm camera and project the rest of the band playing on the wall behind me". The single itself is a warm anthem with a bubbling beat describing the yearn to start from square one and head back home after a bad and emotionally taxing break up. Director Kyle Cogan helps display this theme with Dee sitting in a room reminiscing on the past and a past relationship through the 8mm camera and projector.

This is only the beginning of what Makeout has to offer, and we could not be more excited to see what else the band has up their sleeves. You can watch the new music video and read what The Noise and Kyle Dee had to say about "Home" here. "Home" is also available on all streaming platforms.
