Mississippi rock band NVision continue their run of powerful releases with their third single of 2020, “Last Goodbyes”, the follow-up to “She Said” and “Show Stopper.” As with their previous releases, NVision have an uncanny ability of putting their emotions into words that are extremely palatable for any listener.

Dealing with the emotions surrounding wanting to end a relationship on good terms, “Last Goodbyes” explores the dark and the light side of such a topic. “Last Goodbyes” explores the darker elements when you’re left wondering, “why?” says vocalist Alex Carr. “With the second verse, “just a pill and I’ll be alright, gotta numb this heart of mine,” crescendoing with an EDM breakdown that culminates with the phrase simply put, “There’s nothing left to do, so go and bury me alive.” As with all our music, it explores multiple emotions and ultimately a bit of hope for a better tomorrow. “I wanna hate you, I wanna blame you, but we both know it was fate.”

Instrumentally, “Last Goodbyes” utilizes a variety of influences throughout. In typical NVision fashion, pop-sensibilities ring true in the chorus, but the layered screams add a sense of emotional duality, perfectly complimenting the nature of the lyrical themes. A new twist comes with the electronicore-style breakdown, very familiar to an I See Stars. As with the lyrics, the instrumentation transitions to the light-hearted towards the conclusion of the track, leaving the listener with that warm and fuzzy feeling that’ll make you want to start this track all over agin.

As for the accompanying music video, NVision present in all-white attire, matching the white backdrop in the opening sequence. Smoothly transitioning towards live performance footage, in sync with the onset of the breakdown, it’s a strong video to go along with an even stronger song.

Big things are in the works for NVision, who recently signed with Blind Anxiety Entertainment and From The Depths Entertainment for their booking and PR needs, while continuing their relationsip with VIBERS Entertainment. It looks like the band have one more release planned for late 2020 / early 2021, which is extremely promising given their recent releases. “We plan on wrapping up 2020 as a band with one more song / video and an EP release, Finally Alive, planned for late December / early January.” Carr continues, “Also, in January (COVID allowing), we are set to hit the road in Florida, as well as hitting a number of states the first six months of 2021.”
