REVIEW: Discrepancies "Crawling Back"

For members of St. Louis act Discrepancies, creating music isn't just about making a name for yourself in the music industry, it's about connecting and inspiring others to be themselves. From their undeniably powerful presence to their leading-edge sound, Discrepancies has spent a better part of their career since 2014 successfully pushing themselves to be at the top of their game.

Debuting with "Get Hype" off their self-titled EP in January of that same year, the band showed they could effortlessly integrate heavy riffs, mesmerizing choruses, spellbinding breakdowns, hip hop, and intense melodic lyricism all into one record. Immediately finding success within the scene, they quickly picked up momentum, touring all over the United States that year. Since then, the band has dropped its January 2018 debut album The Awakening via Invogue Records, only to peak at high numbers on the Billboard charts upon its release, and the band is only just getting started.

This weekend, the hip hop rock band released a new track, "Crawling Back." Keeping in strides with their signature melodic hip hop lyrical style while dancing around soaring guitar riffs and dynamic penetrating drum work throughout, this shows Discrepancies wanting to connect on another level without losing their original sound in the process. If Discrepancies continues on the path they are on now, this will be the next multigenre band to watch out for in the future.

Their upcoming album, The Rise drops October 23rd of this year and is available for preorder now
