Vancouver-based hard rock band Collision Course released their second single to date, “Run”, exactly one month ago on October 23rd, 2020. “Run” has already garnered more than 13,000 streams on Spotify, a sure sign of the promising trajectory this band is currently on.

Composed of frontman Anton Schindler, guitarist Brad Masciotra, bassist TJ Platt, and drummer Jeff Toledo, Collision Course in its current form came together just over a year ago, and despite the impact the current pandemic is having on the entertainment industry, they have been able to achieve quite a bit in that short time. Along with various magazine features, they won the award for Best Rock Band at the local Vancouver music awards show, The Whammys.

“Run” features a grungy alternative rock sound, with high quality production compared to “Italian Cuisine”, the only other single listed on the band’s Spotify. Taking influence from bands like Foo Fighters and Audioslave, vocalist Anton Schindler says this was a natural decision. “I tend to lean towards it a lot myself, as my voice just naturally goes with that sound,” he said. “We really wanted the fun of high energy grunge mixed with the precise clean sounds of new rock.”

Of course, this is just the beginning of what’s to come from Collision Course, with releases already planned into 2021. Fans can expect to see a new lyric video for “Run” to come in mid-December and a new single to drop on February 5th, 2021. Be sure to check out the official music video for “Run” below and mark your calendars for the new releases!
