Artist Spotlight: HATED

As far as I am concerned, when it comes to screamed vocals, whether it be a somber, aching scream, or one of absolute feral rage, the more discernible emotion behind it the better. And if HATED does one thing right, it's the way that they perfectly convey a profound sense of fury in their vocals. But HATED impress with more than just insane vocals: for a band with only two short EPs under their belt, every aspect of their sound comes together perfectly. Methodically chugging guitars, intricate drum fills, and massive breakdowns are just a few of the many highlights I found listening to this band. HATED really are something special, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for them. I may even have to justify a trip to Denver to catch a show in the near future.
