Bleghhtooven’s Album of the Month: Hail The Sun - ‘Divine Inner Tension’

Thrilling riffs, dulcet melodies, and angst-filled screams spill onto a sonic canvas creating one of the most refreshing albums I have heard all year. While my bread and butter tends to lean more toward the heavier metalcore/deathcore side of the spectrum, I could not deny the fact that this album kept me coming back for more. Divine Inner Tension is exactly what I am looking for in a Post-Hardcore album in 2023. Progressive, technical, frantic, rhythmic, Hail the Sun has it all in spades. Forget moshing or headbanging, Divine Inner Tension has me samba-ing to their music. Hail the Sun have long been one of the most slept-on bands in the alternative music scene, and this album is further evidence of that fact.
