Blink 182's Mark Hoppus Reveals Battle With Cancer
Member of Blink 182 Mark Hoppus confirmed on social media Wednesday that he was diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The artist first dropped a photo post of his treatment on Instagram, where it was quickly taken down.
Hoppus then announced and confirmed the heartwrenching news to fans across the globe via social media, stating "while he was fearful, he also feels blessed to be in the hands of such incredible doctors."
"I have cancer. It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this,” he spoke candidly.
The 49-year-old musician has been undergoing chemo for the past three months and expressed that he still has months of treatment ahead of him, he is trying to remain hopeful and positive. The artist also warmly conveyed that he "Can't wait to be cancer-free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future Love to you all."
