Corpse & MGK Debut ‘DAYWALKER!’ Video
The massively viral success of Corpse x Machine Gun Kelly’s collaboration “DAYWALKER!” has finally been given a music video generating nearly half a million views and it hasn't even been out a whole hour yet. After racking up 5 million streams in under a week on Spotify and just under 3 million on Youtube, the internet sensations have a firm grasp around the throat of momentum. The new music video features Machine Gun Kelly getting into an impromptu "fight" at the beginning of the song, singing his parts in a police interrogation room and in front of a green screen. What's most interesting is the mysterious CORPSE, who is no stranger to keeping his identity secret, has cast longtime Among Us companion Valkyrae to lip sync his parts in the song, giving a passionate performance with a glowing eye and screaming blood.
The music video is an effectively stripped down affair from the collaboration, no oversaturation of effects or too much post-production nonsense. It's all done subtle and abrasive to let the song's dreary kinetic high energy flow through effectively. Longtime friend and director of previous MGK music videos Sam Cahill also makes an appearance. Interestingly enough the man Corpse himself doesn't make an appearance (not that anyone was expecting him to show his face) but with the recent Anthony Padilla interview you'd think they'd have gotten the same "Vtuber" character avatar though. I guess that's half the allure of the mystery of Corpse Husband's identity. Check out the new music video down below!
