Echobreak Continue String of Impressive Releases With “Reflections”
Ohio hard rock outfit Echobreak have released “Reflections”, their third original single of 2021 inspired by popular anime opening theme songs. It’s the follow-up to “Clean The Slate” and “Black Lotus”, which have amassed more than 300,000 plays on Spotify alone. With “Reflections”, Echobreak have continued this impressive trajectory of successful releases, which will certainly set themselves up to explode in 2022.
“Reflections” brings a similar active rock style that made “Black Lotus” the hit single that it was, while also exploring their Japanese and Korean pop music influences further. “With writing "Reflections," we were inspired by anime opening theme songs,” says guitarist Brandon Walls. “The riffs used in the song take a page out of the J-Rock playbook from such bands as Coldrain, CVLTE, and Survive Said The Prophet.” Lyrically, “Reflections” is a personal reflection of ones life says Walls. “It’s about reminiscing about your past and current state in life; the connections with people, certain bonds you had with yourself, and material things you left behind to get to the point you’re now.”
Aside from the punchy and polished sound we’ve come to expect from Echobreak, “Reflections” also features Michael Waters, who brings a tasteful screamed section to the last minute or so of the song; the perfect cherry-on-top of an already impressive track. Incorporating this sort of sonic flair to their sound emphasizes the variety this band is capable of; a welcomed stylistic choice that we hope Echobreak will continue to utilize.
“Reflections” is now available on all major streaming services and you can find the official performance visual below!
