Execution Day Drops New Planetary and Gravid Track "Escape"
Execution Day is back with their new single, "Escape." The Pittsburgh natives are hard at work again, showing and bearing another side of themselves that they haven't before lyrically and instrumentally. Having come back from releasing a reimagined version of "Woe" from their 2020 EP, Illusions, the band felt it was time to take a different approach this time around when it came down to putting down a sparkling new track this year.
"This track is a bit different from what we have put out in the past, we really liked the idea of a more modern sound, and this song really shows that"
With a planetary atmospheric sound, deeply engaging melodic guitar patterns, cutthroat percussive energy, and passionate vocal delivery, Execution Day makes their point lyrically and instrumentally to the world that they are not alone during these troubling and often unpredictable times.
"This song was written during the Covid quarantine. While all that was going on, you start to feel dissociated from everyone and everything. It's really about feeling trapped and stuck in your head, emotions, and feelings"
As if that was not weighing them down enough Execution Day made sure that "Escape" was absolutely perfect upon release. Not just for the fans, but to show themselves that they could do and accomplish more than what they had done in the past with their previous releases.
"This song took a long time to get finished, cause lyrically and melodically, we wanted it to be perfect, exactly what we imaged. So we wrote lyric ideas for this track like seven times"
Rest assured, if the rest of Execution Day's release calendar looks much like this: We are in for some pretty fantastic hits along the way.
