Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As tours are starting to be announced again it almost feels as if the scene is restoring itself to the glory days. Since the beginning of May, Motion City Soundtrack had been teasing something big, and as of yesterday, May 9, the fans were blessed with a tour announcement, meaning that truly everything is alright. This upcoming tour commemorates the 17th anniversary of their hit sophomore studio album, Commit This to Memory. Originally this tour was supposed to be a 15th-anniversary tour, yet was unfortunately postponed due to the pandemic.

Almost every good tour has a good VIP package, and this announcement is no exception. There are two packages available, the standard VIP package and the Platinum package. Mega fans have the chance to purchase an upgrade that allows fans to walk through the “memory vault” filled with multiple artifacts from the band’s long history, including but not limited to Justin’s glasses and Matt Taylor’s Vans. Along with a committed trip down memory lane, fans have the opportunity to sing on the new Motion City Soundtrack studio album!

During soundcheck, the band will teach VIP holders the lyrics to a brand new song and have their voices recorded to be placed in said song. Once the record comes out, these lucky fans will receive a 7” vinyl of the album, along with their names mentioned in the credits. An opportunity of a lifetime! The platinum package also includes an embroidered Carhartt Gilliam with a Motion City Soundtrack patch, as well as a pair of custom Lightning bolt socks.

VIP upgrades are available for purchase on the band’s site right now, yet fans will have to wait until Friday, May 14th at 10 AM to purchase their general admission tickets. While you wait, be sure to stream Commit This to Memory and find a tour date in your area!
