Traitors Among Us Channel Early 00’s Metalcore on “These Hands”

Opening the triumphant new single with an unfiltered “bree,” Traitors Among Us flex their deathcore past, while bridging the gap to classic 2000’s metalcore on “These Hands.” It’s the first taste of what’s to come on their upcoming debut album anticipated for later this year, which the band says is “inspired by metalcore and post-hardcore bands of the early 2010’s.” Consider me intrigued!

Instrumentally, “These Hands” brings the riff-heavy metalcore from bands as As I Lay Dying or Veil Of Maya, with an updated production and soundscape. Lyrically, it’s a familiar story about feeling trapped in a dark place mentally, while trying to fight your way to the surface. Ultimately, “These Hands” is a mosh-inducing metalcore anthem that’s an instant-add to any gym or heavy music playlist.

If “These Hands” caught your attention, be sure to keep up-to-date with Traitors Among Us, as they’ve assured us that this is just the tip of the iceberg. You can find the official audio for that track linked below!
