Whispersinyahead Release Emotive Track “What’s Mine”

Having recently captivated the audience of the YouTube channel 静的 Static, Whispersinyahead is making his mark on the exploding genre that is emo-inspired hip-hop with recent single “What’s Mine”. Amassing more than 55,000 streams on the single on Spotify alone, “What’s Mine” is a promising introduction to the journey that Whispersinyahead is leading listeners on.

“What’s Mine” is produced by Nadiak, who has previously worked for the likes of Lil Peep, Brennan Savage, and Drippinsopretty, among others. Safe to say you should expect nothing less from this collaboration with Whispersinyahead, whose sound, lyricism, and expressivity are as penetrating and unique. Soft, melodramatic guitar provides the instrumental backdrop for a particularly emotive delivery from Whispersinyahead throughout the entirety of the track. As it ebbs and flows from start to end, Whispersinyahead captures the listener’s attention and doesn’t let it go until the final note. For fans of the previously mentioned artists, “What’s Mine” is an easy save for the playlist.

Lyrically, “What’s Mine” deals with fading love and the challenges that surround it. “What’s Mine” was made to cope with the frustration of witnessing what I considered the most important connection I had with somebody I was in love with disappear,” says Whispersinyahead. “The way it should help me (and, hopefully, others who are going through something similar) cope, is by allowing a space to appreciate how much you loved and you were loved, despite all that happens and the fact love ends. Because I believe love is something to be celebrated in the end, no matter how long it lasted for.” It’s a familiar situation that anyone can relate to, and Whispersinyahead captures the emotionality of the situation perfectly.
