Set It Off released their surprise new single “Catch Me If You Can” earlier today, listed under After Midnight (Part I), a direct reference to their latest album Midnight.

Just one day before, members of Set It Off made ominous tweets hinting to Friday the 13th. Vocalist Cody Carson made the first tweet at 3:40 PM EST stating “Tomorrow is gonna be really awesome.” Almost two hours later at 5:23 PM drummer Maxx Danziger tweeted “I have a very good feeling about tomorrow.” Later in the evening at 9:09 PM guitarist Zach DeWall made out the final tweet, saying, “Tomorrow is gonna be a great day.”

So far, the response for the new single has been amazing from fans across all social media platforms. One commenter on YouTube said "Do I already have the lyrics memorized? Absolutely." Another commenter wrote, "It's just started but I already love it." Over on Twitter, one fan wrote, "I am emotional and totally in love with this song, everyone say thank you @SetItOff."

Midnight was released last winter on February 1, 2019. In an article with Upset Magazine Cody Carson stated: "We went in with over 60 song ideas (our most amount ever), and we had to narrow it down." Being a 15 track album, several songs did not make the cut. Lately ,what Set It Off was doing as part of their Midnight VIP package on the Midnight World Tour were playing demos that did not make the final cut.

According to a few fans on YouTube who attended the VIP, "Catch Me If You Can" was one of the demos played.

Will After Midnight be the deluxe version of Midnight? What does the band mean by "part one?” And moreover, what is next for Set It Off?

Danziger mentioned in an Instagram story that the band was recording new music. Through VEEPS, a text message based VIP notice board, Carson alerted fans Monday, December 9th, that they were back in the studio again with a message reading, “Back in the studio again today! Been working hard on new music and I am SO excited with how it’s sounding so far!!!”

A new Set It Off era is approaching as the Midnight era comes to a close. Watch “Catch Me If You Can” below.
