Parkway Drive Release 'Die Leere', a Collection of "The Void" Spin-Off Tracks

Following the debut of their ‘Viva The Underdogs’ documentary, Parkway Drive have released a collection of “The Void” spin-off tracks entitled Die Leere. Die Leere, roughly translated to The Emptiness, or The Void for consistency sake, consists of three tracks, “Die Leere”, “The Void - Live at Wacken”, and “The Void”.

“Die Leere” and “The Void - Live at Wacken” are also to be attached to the Viva The Underdogs soundtrack, which is to be released on March 27th, 2020. The mostly live soundtrack will also include three German renditions of Parkway Drive songs; the full track list is as follows:

  4. The Void (Live at Wacken)

  5. Idols (Live at Wacken)

  14. Schattenboxen (Shadow Boxing)

Given the success of 2018’s Reverence, fans are eager to hear new music from the metalcore staples. However, it looks like they will have to wait a while longer. 

In a recent interview on ‘The Green Room with Neil Griffiths’ podcast, lead vocalist Winston McCall was asked to comment on any upcoming material. “It’s gonna be a little while before we do the next music from Parkway just because we want to put time and effort into it,” he said. Considering Parkway Drive typically releases an album every three years or so--Reverence in 2018, Ire in 2015, Atlas in 2012, and so on--fans can likely expect new music from the band next year at the earliest.
