Things have been quiet from the Never Shout Never camp since their breakup was confirmed in 2018, but frontman Christofer Drew broke the silence on Wednesday when he announced his new solo EP is coming on May 13th. Drew broke news of his project on social media using the hashtag #UnbornSpark, leading many to believe it could be the title of his new EP.

Drew went on to explain the EP will have seven songs, all of which will be acoustic. Drew also said he had “well over 100 songs written” and said the upcoming EP would be “the first project of several to come.”

Last year, Drew said he considered working on EDM music in a now-deleted Instagram post, but it seems he’s decided to return to an acoustic/indie sound for now. The last time we heard music from Drew was Never Shout Never’s 2015 album Black Cat.

While we wait for Drew’s solo EP to drop, you can listen to the classic song “Trouble” below.
