Boston Manor announced a quarantine release party for their upcoming album, GLUE, on Thursday, April 30th, 2020. Their free online release party will be live on YouTube starting at 11pm BST (6pm EST). The full album will be released the following day on Friday, May 1st, 2020.

During the GLUE release party, Boston Manor will be giving viewers a sneak peak of all of the tracks on the new album. Previously, the band have released singles, including “Liquid,” “Everything is Ordinary,” “On a High Ledge,” “Ratking,” and most recently, “Plasticine Dreams.” In addition to the music, the band will answer questions live from viewers and fans, so get your best questions ready!

Boston Manor released 5 tracks from their 13-track album that have varied in style. The band spread out their release dates over months to keep fans and listeners invested in the new album. Overall, now that several of their songs have been released, listeners are finding some cohesiveness.

Boston Manor wasn’t aiming to create the same music they already had or explore something completely new; they simply had a whiteboard in their studio saying: “Write cool shit.” All in all, the band had a lot of material to play with and in a previous interview with Kerrang!, Henry Cox - the lead singer of the band - said, “in fact, we’ve actually got two albums (laughs), and one of them is just chilling at the moment! I don’t know what we’re going to do with it. But we had two finished bodies of work, and they’re really cohesive lyrically, artistically and musically. And GLUE just fit together so perfectly that we couldn’t not release it. It felt a bit wrong to split it up and drip-feed it as something else.”

Henry even spoke about how the band was very indecisive on if they were going to make a new album and had thoughts of splitting up all together. Henry states, “Yeah, it was crazy – and we were crazy (laughs)... But yeah, at one point we had literally nothing, and before we knew it – and once we decided that we weren’t going to break up – we ended up with lots more!” Crazy to think of a turn around so strong in the time span of one summer.

When talking about the creation process of the album, Cox had said, “We definitely knew that we wanted to keep things quite heavy, and I think that came from the live show. That’s what we do best: we have a very energetic live show. It wouldn’t be true to ourselves or our fans if we cut that out of the record.” Any fan that went to a Boston Manor show knows that the band is full of energy and will leave you breathless by the end of a show. Their vibe is vibrant and the band hopes to continue bringing the same energy in shows to come.
