REVIEW: S/CK "Plague"
The power of music is indisputable, especially within the realm of rock music. It can break down barriers that exist between others and even bring to light some powerful messages that are important in today's society. Up and coming deathcore band S/CK released a song and an engrossing animated music video this summer that not only strikes a heightened chord with the pandemic that is sweeping the nation, but also delivered a thrashing yet moving track to boot "Plague" via Legend Recordings.
With magnetic assailing guitar patterns, bellicose percussive elements, and effortless guttural roars, S/CK is proving themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in their genre. S/CK is currently finishing their debut album, which is slated for release in 2020. If S/CK continues to release ferociously immersive hits like this, the deathcore genre is in for a delicious treat.
