Artist Spotlight: Soulkeeper

It is not often that I come across a band that draws me in so immediately, but from the first measure of the first song I heard from Soulkeeper, I knew I was in for something special. A deluge of furious screamed vocals cascading over frenetic, violent instrumentation; if you’re into this formula, I can guarantee that you will love this. With a newly released debut album, Holy Design, I am eager to see this captivating band get the attention they deserve. One of the standout characteristics of Soulkeeper is without doubt the articulate expression in their lyricism. It isn’t just senseless violence, or your average depictions of the undertow dragging down the demons inside your head looking at the man in the mirror. Instead it is impressively eloquent, thought-provoking, and even philosophical at times. I highly recommend anyone take the time to sit down and read through the lyrics while you listen to this one, you will not regret it.
