As It Is Announce New Single “IDGAF”
After a cutthroat March Madness-style bracket system to figure out which As It Is song is the fanbase favorite, the UK rock band decided to throw it all away and instead announce their new single "IDGAF."
What all began as a simple question of "Which song is your favorite?" turned into quite the brutal battle with the single "Dial Tones" reigning supreme. Some fans were happy that “Dial Tones” won, yet the majority took to social media, complaining how their favorite song didn't make the cut. As a response, the band created two complaint hotlines. However, when fans dialed the number they were greeted with nothing but Dial Tones, the song that is.
Once again, As It Is managed to disrupt the timeline with their trolling shenanigans. Fast forward to yesterday, As It Is hopped back on Twitter, this time to announce their new single, thus beginning another chapter and bringing an end to The Great Depression era.
This is the first new music we have from As It Is since The Great Depression, which was released in August of 2018. According to guitarist Ronnie Ish on the "Talk It Off" podcast run by Set It Off, a new album was supposed to be recorded last April. As the pandemic delayed the recording process, Ronnie goes on to explain that every song that was supposed to be on the album was scrapped, save one and a half songs. It is unknown when the next As It Is album will be dropping, but what is for certain is that "IDGAF" will be the start of something great. The music video will be premiered at 10:45 AM EST and be accompanied by an interview with vocalist, Patty Walters. Be sure to presave the song and tune in for the premiere!
