Heaven’s Void Have Released “Project 7” Featuring Dropout Kings

Florida-based alternative metal outfit Heaven’s Void have released their fiery new single “Project 7” featuring the trap metal stars in Dropout Kings. “Project 7” is the band’s third single of 2022, following up “Get Mad” and “Scapegoat”. Following in the footsteps of prominent alternative rock bands in Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, and more, “Project 7” is sure to make waves amongst the core scene fanbase.

Composed of vocalist Eric Mann, guitarist Omar Del Valle, bassist Glenn Desormeaux, and drummer Alex Enos, Heaven’s Void are a relatively new project to the music scene, releasing their debut self-titled EP just last year. Heaven’s Void displayed a strong mix of hard rock with tinges of metalcore that fans of current releases from Motionless In White or Memphis May Fire would enjoy. Heaven’s Void put forth that same ferocious spirit on the 2022 single “Scapegoat”, a true metalcore anthem with as triumphant a chorus as you could imagine.

Despite it’s polished finish, “Project 7” took years to perfect, earning it’s title of an ongoing project. “I am not joking when I say this song took years to write,” says Del Valle. “Finding the right structure and melody took time, but I think it was worth it in the end.” Mann adds, “I think this song started as a joke. Like, Glenn told Omar to write something catchy that people would want to listen to, Omar gave us a version of this, and over a couple of years we've sorta gone from hating the song to loving the song to hating it again before we finally settled on this version of Project 7. It rips now.

Pulling the up-and-coming trap metal group in Dropout Kings for a feature was an easy choice, bringing a welcomed contrast to an impactful track. “Dropout Kings delivered their own unique brand of “f*ck you” in this brand new song about getting what’s owed,” says Desormeaux. “They brought heavy, bouncing melodies to an already powerhouse of a song.

“Project 7” is officially streaming now across all major platforms!
