MGK & CORPSE Collab Coming Friday
Is the internet ready to be broken? Machine Gun Kelly and Corpse (Yes, the Among Us / Spooky Youtube guy) are dropping a single Friday titled "DAYWALKER" and it could easily be the biggest track in either man's discog. For the uninitiated and those living under rocks, Corpse is a rapidly ascending streamer/Youtuber who ran a run-of-the-mill creepy stories channel that was made all the more spooky with his deep robust voice. Years later with the craze around Among Us, Corpse Husband (shortened to Corpse for his music career) became a fan favorite even winning over US Congresswoman AOC with his velvety bassy voice and a majority of the internet as a whole.
What's always drawn intrigue around the mysterious Corpse is the facelessness to it all, as the world has no idea what the man looks like. This isn't lost on the Youtuber turned musician who's made social media posts doing hand reveals that amass millions of reactions and followers. Music though, has always been Corpse's ambition and with his popularity in the streaming world's public eye, Corpse has been able to amass a huge cult-like following that has jumpstarted his music career, sending his streams soaring into the hundreds of millions and the most impressive part of it all is it's entirely organic. Corpse recently ran into some dramatic chaos with Spotify's algorithm not adding him into editorial playlists despite his songs’ massive self-generating success enough to the point that Corpse is able to advertise "Please Stream E-Girls Are Ruining My Life" in New York's Time Square.
On March 9, Corpse dropped a tweet revealing the collaboration with MGK who is no stranger to success on a viral level. The collab between the two couldn't have come at a better time as the two are both riding a giant wave of momentum, with MGK recently making sales records for his wildly successful foray into the realm of pop punk.
