With the brand new Promise Game single, “Connecticut”, it’s easy to feel like part of the action as they use their signature upbeat emo sound to detail a tough day on tour that turned around and ended up great. On this track, the band recalls a day in May of 2022 when they were on tour and it seemed like they just couldn’t catch a break. Traffic made them unsure of whether they would reach their next show on time, and their accommodations for the night fell through last minute as well. It was difficult for the passionate group to get the wind taken out of their sails, but once they hit the venue and saw their friends in Driveways doing soundcheck, everything felt like it was back on track. Promise Game took the stage later and put on one of their best shows to date, and they made this fun new song to commemorate their day of experiencing the ups and downs of being touring artists.
