Satin Puppets Release Eerie Cover of “Nothing Else Matters”
Twin sister duo Satin Puppets have officially released their hauntingly eerie cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” after a slew of demands and requests by their growing fanbase. Released in collaboration with Nxghtshade - a songwriter and producer who has worked with the likes of Travis Barker, The Used, and John Feldmann, among others - it is the first cover in a series of covers to be released on the 13th of every month.
Forming in early 2021, Satin Puppets have released just three original singles to date - “Quagmire”, “Intertwined”, and “Circus Tent” - with their debut single “Quagmire” already earning more than 250,000 plays on Spotify alone. Imagine taking the horror-inspired aesthetic of Motionless In White and mixing it with the soulful sound of Lana Del Rey; the resulting sound is just as dark and moody as it is soft and touching.
Melodic strings and delicate keys provide the backdrop for the elegant vocals that give a new life to the track that Elton John recently called “one of the best songs ever written.” When discussing the cover, Satin Puppets had this to say: “With our 'Nothing Else Matters' cover we tried to embrace the duality we all possess as humans and bring our eerie and theatrical energy to the world.” Eerie and theatrical is a perfect description of this release.
