With so many releases to look forward to in 2020, we at Scene Daddy wanted to compile a list to help our readers stay on top of it all in the new year. We have included albums already confirmed for a 2020 release, as well as albums suspected to be released based on the band’s social media activity. From what we know so far, 2020 is shaping up to be quite the year for music in our scene.

A Day to Remember

2019 was an interesting year for A Day to Remember, collaborating with Marshmello on the song “Rescue Me” and premiering two singles off their upcoming album You’re Welcome. Currently, the album does not have a release date, but the two singles “Degenerates” and “Resentment” have given fans plenty to sink their teeth into in the mean time.

The Amity Affliction

While not officially confirmed, sources indicate their new album Everyone Loves You…Once You Leave Them will be released on February 21, 2020. Following recent teasers on Instagram, we should expect a full announcement and new music any day!

Fever 333

Quickly following up the release of their debut studio album Strength in Numb333rs, Fever 333 have put out two new singles “Kingdom” and “Vandals”, and have teased fans with cryptic messages on Twitter, indicating we may get new music sooner than expected.

Pierce the Veil

It has been over three years since the release of their fourth album Misadventures. After sharing a picture of the band members together in late August, fans are hopeful we hear new music from Pierce the Veil sooner rather than later.

Savage Hands

Set to be Savage Hands first full-length release, The Truth in Your Eyes will be released January 31, 2020 through Sharptone Records. They will be embarking on a tour with While She Sleeps and He Is Legend in February of 2020 to support the release.

We Came as Romans

it was announced in April of 2019 that We Came as Romans had started working on their first album following the tragic loss of Kyle Pavone. They have since released two singles “Carry the Weight” and “From The First Note”, which are anticipated to be included on the new album.

Saving Vice

With three singles released to date, “Endgame”, “Never Knows Best”, and “Hollow Bastion”, Saving Vice are showing no signs of slowing down. They have mentioned details about their new album will be coming soon, so don’t sleep on them!

Knuckle Puck

Knuckle Puck recently took to Twitter to announce they had begun recording their third full-length album, hopefully tracking for a 2020 release. They have since announced an intimate headlining tour, where fans can expect to hear songs off their forthcoming release.

August Burns Red

One band you can constantly count on for new music, August Burns Red announced back in September that they had begun recording a new album. In an interview with Alternative Press, vocalist Jake Luhrs was asked to comment on the new record. “The direction that the band is going as far as songwriters is really kind of cool,” he said. “I think it’s going to be a little bit more the ability to digest the music”.

My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance came out of seemingly nowhere to announce their triumphant return on Halloween of 2019. With the reunion show behind them and more performances announced for early 2020, the scene is hungry for new music from these emo icons.

Polaris

Set to be Polaris’ second full-length record, The Death of Me will be available on February 21, 2020 via Sharptone and Resist Records. Fans can preorder the album here, and the first single “Masochist” is out now.

Dance Gavin Dance

It almost seems unlikely that a new release from Dance Gavin Dance will be out in 2020, given their latest album Artificial Selection was released in 2018. However, vocalist Tilian Pearson announced that vocals were finished in early November 2019 for what is to be their next release.

Movements

A little over 2 years ago Movements released their debut album Feel Something, which have become something of a staple album in the scene. In mid-October, the band announced they had finished recording LP2, likely setting them up for a 2020 release.

Secrets

Their most recent single, “My Mind, Myself & I”, was hard-hitting and dealt with important subject matter and is to be included on their upcoming album. This would be the follow-up to 2018’s self-titled album and their fifth studio album to date.

Falling In Reverse

Since their latest full-length release Coming Home in 2017, Falling In Reverse have put out a steady stream of singles in “Losing My Mind”, “Losing My Life”, “Drugs”, and “Popular Monster”. With this band putting out some of the best material of their career, we are excited to see what is next.
