There is a reasonable chance you may not have heard of a little rock band from Des Moines, Iowa, Widow 7. But after one listens to their latest track, this is a band you want to set your sights on this year. Having released a few singles currently, this multi-genre rock band is quickly turning heads, and their latest single, "Therapy," which dropped February 26th, is causing quite a ripple within the scene.

"Therapy" shows change can come almost unexpectedly since their last release, "Crooked Frames" in 2020. Feeling a lot more free and melodic within the framework of their signature dynamic sound, It seems that Widow 7 is testing the waters with new instrumental and vocal avenues, and sounds impressively confident in doing so. This comes as no surprise, as Widow 7 has always put originality and poise first before keeping up with the music scene. The band had this to say about their latest release.

“Therapy” is about perspective at the beginning of the end of a toxic relationship scenario. From the point of it starting to feel monotonous to the realization of calling it quits, and about how the whole process can turn you into a different person by the end of it. “For better or for worse”
